Blaenafon holiday cottage is a special cottage for that special holiday cottage situated in Newport Pembrokeshire.

  • Suitable for couples & families
  • Honeymoon retreat
  • Situated besides a stream
  • Mountain and sea views

Blaenafon holiday cottage offers accommodation suitable for both couples and families. Indeed it has been let to six honeymoon couples several of which have returned.

It offers all that two people want, a quiet retreat in a romatic setting, placed as it is beside a stream entirely on its own with either mountain or sea views.

The history of Blaenafon Cottage

Blaenafon is a three hundred year old stone longhouse cottage named after the welsh meaning for 'head of the stream', with a beamed sitting room and open fire, carefully modernized.

Where is the cottage?

The cottage is the last dwelling on the mountain track of Mount Carningli situated half a mile away from the pretty village of Newport (offering shops and amenities) and has unparalleled views of both the mountainside and the sweep of Newport, it's coastline and parrog (beach).

Blaenafon is situated within the northern part of the Pembrokeshire National Park, within easy reach of the Preseli hills, the Gwaun valley, historic castles, cromlechs, many pretty coves and beaches, and of course the Pembrokeshire coastal path, which passes through Newport.

Testimonial

Dear Lorna,
My wife and I would like to let you know how we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at your cottage. It was all that you said it would be. It took us a few hours to get use to all the stairs as we live in a bungalow but the local walks and views were excellent.

We look forward to arranging another visit in the future. All the best to you, Roger Harding.

PS Thank you for the wonderful jar of honey from your own hives in Kensington. A very individual and nice welcome.
