Coastal Path
Walking
For walkers, you have the Preseli hills and the Pembrokeshire coastal paths which runs for 168 miles from St. Dogmeals to Amroth, going through Newport.
The coastal path offers two good walks from Newport, one towards Dinas Island and the other way to Ceibr, a favourite with broadcaster Wynford Vaughan Thomas.

There is a 9 hole Golf Course adjacent to the big beach.
